Knitting along with Mom

My mom had been admiring the Misty Garden scarf from Scarf Style for a long time, but did not think she was ready for a lacy pattern yet. I took a look at the pattern and saw it was a feather and fan pattern. Definitely doable. I told my mom that I'd make one too and we could have a knit-along. I received 3 skeins of Rowan Tapestry under the tree (thanks, Mom) and the knit-along commenced on Christmas.

This yarn is so beautiful. My mom is annoyed because so far her skein had 3 knots in it and, as you can see from the photo, it changed color to blue abruptly after a knot. For the price of Rowan, you'd expect better. Still, it looks beautiful.

I've never participated in a knit-along before, nor started one, but if anyone wants to join this one, feel free! We haven't made too much progress yet.
